How did you become an advocate for early childhood education?

I began working with children in 2004. Over the years my passion for creating the best environment for children to learn has continued to grow. I have found community and working together is the best way to get things accomplished.

Why do you think it’s important to be an advocate as a provider?

With the experience I have in the field I am able to see needs that some may miss or not think about.

Why should Missouri invest more in child care and early education?

Our programs are the foundation of a child’s education. We are there from the very beginning.

In one sentence, what does the ideal child care and early education system look like for Missouri families?

A safe environment where children are free to learn and grow with teachers that are appreciated for what they do.

What is one thing you’ve learned about advocacy that you’d like to share with others?

I would like to get the idea of advocacy out there. So many want to help but have no idea how.
